Hayden Altar Works was responsible for the complete design, construction, and installation of this sanctuary set as the culmination of a multiyear renovation undertaken by St. Matthews Catholic Church in Kalispell, Montana. The church sustained significant damage in a fire in 2019, and it was an honor to contribute to the restoration and beautification of its sacred space.
The design’s inspiration was drawn from the architectural style and structure of the church building, resulting in pieces that harmoniously integrate into the overall spatial composition. All carpentry work was completed in my studio, and the marble altar slab and the Last Supper were sourced from Italy.
